Ideological unity and diversity of modern Russia

The article deals with the ideological preferences of citizens of modern Russia. The author recognizes the need to maintain ideological pluralism as the right of citizens of the Russian Federation to choose their own ideological preferences. He pays special attention to the importance of the presence in the Russian society ideas and values that could be shared by the majority of the population, and on the base of which ideological unity is possible. On the base of socio-cultural traditions of Russia and peculiarities of contemporary world development, the author attempts to identify some of the socio-political values that would form the basis of the ideological paradigm of the integration of the modern Russian society.
