The ideological foundations of teaching the course of fundamentals of Russian statehood in higher education institutions

The article attempts to comprehend and identify the ideological foundations underlying the teaching of the innovative course of Fundamentals of Russian Statehood in higher educational institutions. The author suggests that the introduction of the course under consideration is dictated not so much by didactic and educational, but by spiritual and moral reasons due to Russia's acquisition of the status of an ethical navigator in the field of international relations against the background of the dec ay of the Western European model of development with an emasculated value core. The metaphilosophical idea of patriotism, social harmony, and natural human rights are highlighted as fundamental values. In conclusion, the triune nature of the value and spiritual and moral foundation of the course of Fundamentals of Russian Statehood is stated, determined by the consistent disclosure of statist, social and humanistic principles.
