The paper discusses methods for the isolation of microorganisms from the commercial biological preparations “Baikal EM-1 ” and “Bi EM”. The morphological, tinctorial, biochemical properties of isolated strains of microorganisms are analyzed. 4 strains of microorganisms isolated from the “Bi EM” preparation: S. aureus, A. oryzae, S. cerevisiae, Lactobacillus sp. and 4 strains from the “Baikal EM-1 ” preparation: L. lactis, E. coli, B. subtilis, B. thuringiensis have been identified. Also, the possibility of using these isolated strains of microorganisms in the study of biofermentative properties and the creation of a commercial biopreparation for the elimination of lipid, protein and carbohydrate-containing components of wastewater is described. Among the isolated microorganisms, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Bacillus thuringiensis strains were the most promising for the elimination of lipid, protein and carbohydrate-containing components of wastewater.
