Hieroglyph as lingvocultural concept

The article deals with the concept «hieroglyph» in the context of the Chinese language picture of the world. Investigation of the phenomenon of hieroglyph is of high scientific interest as it is a separate, independent part of national tradition without which it is impossible to understand Chinese culture. In the Chinese linguistic culture the concept «hieroglyph» is more significant for creation of a language picture of the world, than that is writing language systems with non-hieroglyphic writing. It is proved to be true its numerous representation in language and the deep historical and cultural content. In the present article hieroglyph is represented as an original concept of life perception different from the European system of values.
