Compulsive gambling : criminological, victimological and suicidological aspects

In order to study the clinic picture of pathological gambling (PG) in its criminological, victimological and suicidological acpects, there have been examined 150 patients, suffering from this disorder (135 men and 15 women). It has been ascertained that PG characterizes as highly criminogenic, in this connection increases the risk committing crimes against both - oneself and against personality, and it also characterizes as significant victimogenic. These criminogenic, victimogenic and suicidogenic characteristics in PG are due to productive (dependence syndrome) and negative (personality) changes, occurring and increasing during the disorder development process.
