The need to find effective ways to train teachers in the conditions of forced transition of higher education institutions to distance learning during the coronavirus pandemic was noted. In this context, the possibilities of using game methods in higher education for the formation of professional competencies of primary school teachers are considered. The article presents the experience of developing and testing the game when preparing undergraduates for the program "Innovative primary school" in the direction of "Teacher education". The methodological justification, rules of the game are revealed, and practical recommendations for their application are given. The advantages of game Pedagogical technologies are shown.
