The article describes the possibilities of а practical application of gaming technologies at literature lessons in senior school. It also defines the functions of gamebased learning literature and reveals a problem in the methodology of the organization of controlling games at school. Based on a corporate lesson in the 11th form on the topic «Poetry of the Silver Age», the article shows the types of game tasks, methodical recommendations for their use in teaching literature in school.
