Illustrator-animalists of landscape miniatures of I. S. Sokolov-Mikitov

Exemplified by cycles and separate miniatures about nature written by I.S. Sokolov-Mikitovand published by Detgiz in 1950-1970, the article exposes the special futures of illustrating prose works in the genre of landscape miniature, included into the childhood reading. In the article specific historical data about artists who illustrated prose miniature of the writer are outlined, the similarity and difference in interpretation of nature and methods of its representation, as well as characteristics of animalistic genre and illustration are exposed.
