The image of a teacher as a sociocultural component of educational process: culturological aspect

The article deals with the urgent issues of the higher school, substantiates the necessity of innovative approaches application when teaching in the modern sociocultural space. The authors consider the theses of the pedagogical imagology, develop the model of image of the modern higher school teacher, describe the personal characteristic of the modern university teacher. It is concluded that esthetic education in the context of culturological approach is impossible without proactive attitude of the person and is focused on the development of the comprehensive system of esthetic qualities.
