Immanuel Kant: gnoseology and philosophy of religion

The article analyzes the most important ideas of the great German philosopher Immanuil Kant. The author discusses Kants attempts to overcome the eternal dilemma of sensualism and rationalism and to formulate four epistemological antinomies: paradoxes of finiteness and infinity of the universe, freedom and necessity, simple and complex, direct and mediated in the world. The Philosophical and religious ideas of Kant and his refutation of metaphysical evidence of the existence of God are studied in this next. The ethical-religious doctrine of Konigsberg thinker, including his moral proof of God’s existence, is estimated.
