Immunophytotherapy of progressive ovarian cancer

The role of immunophytotherapy in palliative treatment of progressive ovarian cancer was studied. The study included 63 patients with histologically verified progressive ovarian cancer and the presence of ascites or pleurisy. A control group comprised 17 patients who received no immunophytotherapy. Immunophytotherapy was shown to be effective for patients with progressive ovarian cancer after previously performed ineffective chemotherapy and radiation therapy. This therapy was found to improve the patients' life quality and prolong survival by 15,5 weeks.
