According to the threat of rust diseases outbreaks is actual the extension of genetic diversity of wheat varieties and the search of new long resistance sources. There are results of the immunological evaluation of spring bread wheat entries of shuttle breeding nursery KASIB, created jointly by scientific institutions of Western Siberia, Ka- zakhstan and the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre CIMMYT under the conditions of South- ern forest-steppe of Western Siberia. The research by field and laboratory methods was performed in 2014-2015. The resistant initial material to leaf and stem rust for immunity breeding under the conditions of Western Siberia was se- lected. Five entries have high resistance to leaf rust (R type of reaction): Fiton 82, Fiton C-54, Ekada 148, Lutescens 220/03-83 and Uralskaya Kukushka. The entries Ekada 148, Fiton 82, Lutescens 7/04-26 and Sigma have 5-10 MS damage degree to stem rust, which characterizes them as medium resistant to this pathogen. According to analysis of identifying Sr gene of spring wheat entries collection in the breeding institutions of the West Siberian and Ural regions there is a resistance to stem rust and race Ug99 breeding material on the basis of effective genes: Sr25, Sr31, Sr31 + Sr25, Sr3, Sr36, Sr31 + Sr36, Sr6Ai, Sr57. There were ascertained that more productive varieties are character- ized by higher resistance to rust diseases. The entries Lutescens 7/04-26, Fiton 82 and Sigma as the most high-yield (1.1-1.8 t/ha), resistant to stem rust, which are recommended for using as an initial material for wheat breeding under the conditions of various regions of Western Siberia and Kazakhstan were selected.
