The imperative of digitalization of traditional sectors of the Russian economy

The study defines the role of digitalization of the economy as a tool to ensure the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation. An analysis of various approaches to understanding digitalization and its impact on the sectors of the Russian economy was carried out. Emphasis is placed on traditional industries that are not dependent on the level of development of R&D in production activities. Particular attention is paid to the development of the manufacturing industry, where big data technologies, cloud services and RFID technologies are actively being introduced. The key challenges of economic digitalization are identified, and possible solutions to these challenges are proposed.
