The imperatives of a "paradigm shift" in the study of sustainable and unsastainable regional development (part I)

Бесплатный доступ

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the need for a “paradigm shift” in the study of sustainable and unsustainable regional development. At the same time, the methodological perspective lies in the logical and epistemological analysis of the problem, taking into account the key provisions of the systemic paradigm, represented by the organic unity of external conditions and the variety of internal factors of development of the studied subject “field” elements. The scientific novelty of the article consists, firstly, in the proof of dysfunctions of the existing, in fact, economic concept of ensuring sustainability development; secondly, in the formulation of the key imperatives of the formation of a new analytical paradigm, taking into account the corresponding new aspects. The scientific and practical significance of the article’s conclusions lies in the further possibility of specifying the elements of the qualitative integrity of the new paradigm of sustainable and unstable development of any region, taking into account its geosocial code and historical and cultural features of evolution.
