Index of activity in the field of artificial intelligence for assessing the level of digitalization of advanced professional education in the regions

The article considers the impact of digitalization on the development of continuing professional education under current digital transformation trends. We focus on the role of artificial intelligence as a key factor in transforming the educational process. One of the indicators of public interest in artificial intelligence is the frequency of related search queries. The Yandex.Wordstat platform is used as an analytical tool, providing data to assess user engagement with Al-related topics across the regions of the Russian Federation. Logarithmic data transformation is applied to improve analytical precision, and an index of artificial intelligence activity is calculated. The obtained results can be used to evaluate general public interest in artificial intelligence and serve as a component for calculating a more complex index of continuing professional education development.
