The article deals with problems connected with teaching foreign language communicative competence to students of non-linguistic universities. The aim of the study is development of the rational methodology of teaching the foreign language communicative competence, which is based on the indicators of the rationality. The author studies the indicators of rationality of students,learning activities and teacher's educational actions.
