Individualization of education as a methodological issue and the correlation of individualization and self-study in the process of practical phonetics learning

The article considers the methodology of individualized teaching of foreign students in the course of practical phonetics study. The individualization leads to optimization of the learning process, helping students to acquire the skills of self-study, as well as get solid knowledge. The author considers the advantages of the independent work scheduling at the beginning of the school year, which allows teachers to individualize the learning process for students with different levels of training. The author believes that an important task of teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language is to teach students to exercise self-control by means of sound recording.
