Problem and purpose. The article is devoted to the problem of innovative approaches to the optimization of physical activity on the basis of individual diagnosis of the adaptive state of athletes. The aim of the work is to justify the method of omegametry (Omega-Potential) method as an express test for establishing an optimum zone for each athlete in which he must work in training, which is the basis for individualizing the training process. The research methodology provides for the continuity of the main scientific provisions in the field of optimizing the training process and in the application of the method of omega-potential, which has proved to be an indicator of the functional state, working capacity and recovery ability of athletes. The resultsof the work show the possibility of individualizing the training process for each athlete by establishing an “optimum” zone that takes into account the differentiated volume and intensity of the training load, which is especially significant in the pre-competition training stage. Conclusion. The work notes that the omegometry method is consistent with the generally accepted methods of sports control, allows timely adjusting the training process of Graeco-Roman wrestlers, and as a result, bringing the athlete to the peak of the sport form, to achieving a high competitive result.
