Individual psychological characteristics of personality affecting an occupational choice

This article provides an analysis of the approaches of domestic and foreign authors to the occupational choice of an individual. A theoretical model of the phenomenon which reflects the cognitive styles of the personality, realized in the structure of the procedure of occupational choice and manifested itself in certain cognitive strategy of making decision is proposed. This approach most completely reflects the elements of the system of individual psychological characteristics of the personality, influencing on the success of an occupational choice.
