This article is devoted to the study of individual labor disputes. It analyzes the main characteristics of individual labor disputes. The author concludes that an individual labor dispute can be understood as a disagreement between an employee and an employer, arising from the application of labor law regulations, a collective agreement, local regulatory acts, or an employment contract, and formally processed through an appeal to a competent authority. Methods for resolving individual labor disputes are examined. In particular, the author identifies two main advantages of the judicial process. First, the independence of the court from the parties involved, which ensures an objective review of the case. Second, the enforceability of court decisions once they come into effect. As for the advantages of dispute resolution through a labor dispute commission, the author highlights the following points. First, relative efficiency. Second, a high likelihood of preserving the employment relationship between the employee and employer. Conclusions are formulated on the need to further improve the legislative framework to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of labor rights protection.
