The problem of individual-psychological influence of the students on individual style of activity and personal strategies used in the process of studying the foreign language is examined. The analysis of the cognitive component of individual style is given, the classification of cognitive styles is offered, the cognitive types of students are marked out. The examples of cognitive strategies distribution property sorted by individual style of activity are given.
