Translocator protein ligand PK11195 induce apoptosis in cutaneous melanoma cells

Apoptosis activation was studied in melanoma cells SK-MEL1 treated with TsPO-specific ligand PK11195 in different concentrations (10 μmol/L, 100 nmol/L and 10 nmol/L). The increase in TsPO expression levels with increase in apoptosis levels were detected after TsPO ligand PK11195 treatment in concentration 100 nmol/L. These data show that TsPO can be used as a new therapeutic target in melanoma apoptosis activation.
