Entertainment industry in modern cultural space of Russia

The article deals with modern leisure and entertainment industry as a new segment of the cultural industry that provides opportunities to meet the cultural needs of the people in the situation of organized recreation (recreation, entertainment, creative leisure, etc.). In the structure of the institutions of modern entertainment industry in Russia, the author identifies several major segments: the segment of the rides and play areas (parks and attractions, theme parks and others), a segment of the natural recreation (parks and reserves and others), a segment of club recreation (dance clubs and discos and others), extreme entertainment segment and other segments. In the entertainment industry revealed the gap between the participation of government and business, and the latter dominates in providing entertainment services. Further development of the entertainment industry, the author connects with the development of social and cultural technologies to meet the challenges of social and cultural education and personal development in the specific conditions of organized leisure.
