The article explains the high level of interest of the Russian state in the deployment of the inflationary processes connected with its desire to fund the Federal budget at the expense of indirect taxes, to devalue the domestic public debt and bring the national economy out of crisis 2015. The author refutes this possibility on the basis of the comparative analysis of the economic situation in our country in 1998 and in 2015. The author considers that the main defect of anti-inflation policy of the government and the Bank of Russia is their desire to fight against supply inflation over the demand inflation.
