Information and communication technologies as a factor of students’ social adaptation

The article deals with the problems of social adaptation of the first-year students of the international relations faculty. The author considers significance and role of the information and communication technologies (ICT) in this many-sided process. Modernization of the education in Russia is going on in the conditions of intensive and dynamic development of informational and communicational processes, which form ICT-competency of a person. Such factors as future student's background education, motivation, being ready to study at higher school influence the successful acquiring of the ICT-competency. The research can be implemented by mangers, teachers and students of the general and higher education institutions.
