Introduction. The relevance of the article lies in the need to understand the new threats that arise as a result of the digitalization of the economy. The article examines the impact of information and telecommunication technologies on the evolution of crime in the economic sphere. The author analyzes new forms of crime in the economic sphere that arise as a result of technological development. In the light of modern realities, the crimes provided for in Chapter 22 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation require not only a statistical review, but also an in-depth analysis of existing data in order to identify new patterns and trends, as well as their rethinking in the context of current challenges. The study of crime in the sphere of economic activity related to the use of information technologies is an important area of scientific research. It allows us to identify and analyze new forms of criminal activity arising in the context of digitalization, which contributes to the development of effective preventive measures. It should be noted that the possibilities of a comprehensive and objective analysis of the real dynamics of crime in the sphere of information and telecommunication technologies (ITT) are significantly limited, including due to the fact that not all types of crimes provided for in Chapter 22 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation are subject to systematic accounting in the context of their connection with the use of ITT. In this study, we are forced to limit ourselves to the analysis of empirical data obtained exclusively from the statistical reporting forms of the GIAC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. This limitation is due to the lack of alternative sources of information, which may affect the completeness and versatility of the conclusions. However, the use of official statistics of the GIAC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia ensures the representativeness of the data within the established accounting parameters, which allows for a reliable analysis in the context of the stated problem. Materials and Мethods. The research methodology includes general scientific methods of studying social processes, especially in the context of the socio-legal phenomenon of crime. These include analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, system-structural method, as well as methods of measurement, description and abstraction. In addition, specific scientific methods were used, such as document analysis and statistical methods. The empirical basis of the study was certain forms of statistical observation conducted by the State Information and Analytical Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The Results of the Study. The result of this study is a comprehensive analysis and systematization of the main types of crimes committed using information and telecommunication technologies in the sphere of economic activity recorded in statistical accounting forms. During the study, factors contributing to the emergence of these criminal acts in the sphere of information technology were identified. This scientific observation emphasizes the importance of an integrated approach to understanding the mechanisms of crime in the sphere of economic activity in the context of the rapid development of information technology and its integration into economic processes. Findings and Conclusions. Crime in the sphere of economic activity carried out using information and telecommunication technologies is an independent socio-economic and legal phenomenon that must be considered in the context of modern challenges and threats characteristic of the digital age. This type of crime is formed under the influence of the rapid development of technology, the globalization of economic processes and the expansion of the digital space, which determines its specific features.
