Modern equipment, and in particular used in agriculture, is quite difficult to operate and maintain. Thanks to electronic systems, machines generate big data that opens up new opportunities for improving the quality of maintenance and repair. Information support for maintenance and repair can be described as an information model, which includes: the flow of market information; the flow of regulatory and technical information; information technology and digital basis for maintenance and repair; competence function, which consists in ensuring a continuous and relevant flow of knowledge among the staff; management and technical decision support system. To evaluate the information model and develop practical recommendations for their development, a statistical (factorial) model was developed based on the results of a survey of engineering and technical specialists of agribusiness enterprises. The model showed that the factors associated with the qualifications of personnel (20%) have the greatest weight; information and consulting support in decision-making in the 24/7 format (13%); regulatory and technical documentation that formalizes activities and facilitates decision-making (10%); extending the life cycle of machines and mechanisms, as well as creating conditions for the inclusion in the economic turnover of non-repairable equipment and its units (10%). Also, studies have shown that on the horizon of 10+ years, the importance of market and service factors (-50%), post-warranty service (-11%), circular economy (-45%) and documentation (-36%) decreases, and the importance of automation factors (+27%), digitalization (+38%), qualifications (+13%) and information and consulting services (+13%) increases.
