Information society and modernization in Russia

The article examines the possibility of transition to the information society as well as specific features of the postindustrial modernization in Russia. The socio-philosophical aspect of information society’s range of problems is considered. The author analyzes the informatization process in the Russian society, and considers reasonableness of correlation between the natural modernization conditions and measures of the catching-up modernization.
