Information society as a structural and functional institution within the political system of the contemporary Russia

The paper explored the term «political system» in quotations from Russian researchers and foreign ones. The study considered an information institution as integral part to politics in the making and suggested a new approach to considering advancement of the information society as part to the political system. The study inferred that the institution of Information society is an important element to the political system’ framework. One may determine the part this institution takes in the political system by such basic aspects as economic perspective, the communicative and managerial aspects. Public administration and management in information and communication mainstreaming gain in special importance assuming at the forefront an information and communicative function of the State.
