Information technologies as a means of modernizing public administration in contemporary society

The article discusses the comprehensive nature of information and communication technologies. We have considered the concept of "e-government", its principles and prospects for implementing into the economic structure. The use of ICT in the work of public authorities is regarded as the core capacity for increasing the effectiveness of public administration. Changes in the public sector are associated with the introduction of new information and communication technologies. The introduction of ICT in the sphere of public administration is based on the concept of "electronic government" or "e-government". "E-government" implements the principle of providing all state and municipal services to citizens in one place. Such a concept is realized through the means of ICT and according to the laws of information civil society. It also supports the needs of citizens and meets the requirements of economic efficiency, accessibility for public control and initiative. In other words, it is a modern image of state administration that resulted from transforming the understanding and full implementation of information and communication technologies in relationships of citizens and authority
