Information technologies in the learning process of vocational education

This article provides a definition of such concepts as “technology”, “educational technology”, “information technology”. The author discusses the problem of development of information technologies in the process of higher education as a factor contributing to its quality improvement. The significance of introduction of these technologies is evaluated. The article also raises the question of the importance of mastering of information and communication technologies by the teachers of higher educational institutions.
