Information technologies in the process of developing and making management decisions

Increasing amount of information, complexity of the tasks to be solved, need to consider a large number of interrelated factors, an unstable environment, high level of technology development and relatively low productivity of people who are engaged in its processing are the main factors that caused the need for new information technologies. Benefits of such information technologies are clear in the process of developing and making management decisions. This article describes three key information technologies, such as decision support systems, expert systems and automated expert assessment systems, that increase the relevance and quality of information necessary for developing and making management decisions. Under the conditions of a turbulent business environment the quality of information becomes the main factor which determines the quality and effectiveness of management decisions and, accordingly, the effectiveness of management of modern companies.
