Information warfares and information manipulation on the internet

In the modern world information has become a key resource for its existence and development, and the study of techniques and methods of information manipulation is of particular importance. We have analyzed the most important features of the Internet, which in the digital age is the main arena of information warfare, where the main techniques of manipulating public opinion are tested and subsequently actively used, as well as various methods of destructive influence on the information resources of the opposing side aimed at deliberately distorting information coming from real and potential enemies, intercepting the process of making strategic and tactical decisions and, on the contrary, serving as a means of achieving one's own goals and interests. We have come to the conclusion about the need for targeted development of critical thinking and media literacy skills to protect against information manipulation and related challenges and threats.
