The article examines the specifics of humanitarian education in an economic university. Using the example of two areas of study that are in demand and are actively developing - "Translation and Translation Studies" (Chinese) and "Advertising and public Relations", the trends and drivers of the development of humanitarian education in an economic university are presented. The description of themodel of humanitarian education is conducted with in the framework of the "educational triad" - formal, non-formal and informal education. The role of information education in the formation of skills and abilities of humanitarians is shown.
