Voter information and pre-election campaign in the context of development of information technologies

The rapid development of information technologies, the inclusion of digital services in the active space of preparing and holding elections highlights in a new way the problem of distinguishing between informing participants in the electoral process and election campaigning. The article is devoted to the issues of establishing such a distinction in the context of transferring the information support of elections to a new technological level. Based on the analysis of existing regulatory legal acts and law enforcement practice, the author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to further develop new information technologies to ensure the transparency of the electoral process and prompt response to violations of electoral legislation.
