Awareness of population about fatty liver hepatitis

Liver disease remains a major public health problem. Currently, liver diseases are increasing, which requires determining the level of public awareness about this disease and the necessary measures for the prevention of fatty hepatitis. Research materials and methods: from November 10 to December 13, 2021, an online survey of the population was conducted. 300 respondents with different gender and age characteristics were interviewed. Each respondent was asked 10 questions regarding their knowledge of fatty liver. This study was conducted using the Google Forms platform. Research objectives: to determine the awareness of population about fatty hepatitis and its consequences. Research results: as a result of study, a summary of data on awareness of population about fatty hepatitis was formed, during which 60.4% of respondents have an information on fatty liver hepatitis. Conclusions: there is a low awareness of the population about the location of the pathological process, the causes of the disease, which specialist should be consulted, what the consequences may be, and at the same time, 95% of the participants emphasized the need to inform the issues of fatty hepatitis.
