Infrastructure support for socially oriented non-profit organizations in Russia: theoretical aspects

The article examines the concepts and meanings that constitute the essence of infrastructure support in the context of the development of socially-oriented non-profit organizations (SONPOs) in the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of normative and academic sources, it has been established that there are currently no unified approaches to understanding the concept of infrastructure support for SONPOs. The study concludes that there is a lack of theoretical and methodological research on the phenomenon of infrastructure support and an imbalance in the development of the non-profit sector compared to the small and medium-sized enterprise sector. The author provides a definition of support infrastructure and identifies three main concepts of infrastructure support. The author concludes that the most relevant interpretation of infrastructure support would be the activities of infrastructure organizations. The conclusion outlines potential directions for improving government policies in the field of infrastructure support for SONPOs and identifies prospective research areas in this field. The need for further research is emphasized to deepen understanding and develop effective mechanisms of infrastructure support that would contribute to the development and strengthening of the sector of socially oriented nonprofit organizations in Russia.
