People's initiatives for the development of the local area: the possibilities and constraints

The social and political interaction of the authorities with the local population is characterized by the ongoing relevant development problems of the territory and their subjective interpretation by the inhabitants. Nowadays, there are increased possibilities of appealing to local government: the digital forms of implementing activities are widely available; the face-to-face discussions with authorities are supported, the prospects for consolidation of administrative bodies and residents are updated. The citizens understand and support the areas for local social development if there is a real impact on the arrangement of social space made by the supreme authorities. Based on current problems of the territory, the priority initiatives of the population in Kemerovo region include the improvement of soft infrastructure, the enhancement of forms and methods of interaction between regional and municipal authorities and the financial support to residents in the region.
