Innovations in Russia: main characteristics and problems

In the modern information society, innovation plays a key role in its socio-economic development, contributing to the ongoing modernization of production, transformation of the social structure and style of everyday life of citizens. However, despite the progressive growth of innovation in Russia in the last decade, there are still significant difficulties in the process of moving from ideas and knowledge to the materialization of products and their subsequent commercialization. The article especially highlights organizational, financial, personnel and legal problems that hinder the innovative development of the country and its institutions. In this regard, targeted government policy is needed to support, stimulate and practically implement innovation.
