The article deals with innovations as a driver for the sustainable functioning of agricultural enterprises, increasing their competitiveness. To assess the level of innovative development of an enterprise, it is advisable to use labor productivity as a determining indicator. The main factors of its increase in labor productivity are the use of innovative methods of organizing production, modern technologies and business models. The article presents the main problems that impede the active innovative development of the agricultural business, and identifies areas for improving their innovative environment.
