Innovation - as a specific object of government regulation

The article is devoted to the consideration of topical issues of state regulation of the innovation sphere in the Russian economy. The reasons for the current position in the GII rating were analyzed. It was concluded that it is necessary to increase the effectiveness of state influence on innovative processes. The author's classification of acts of regulatory and legal framework of innovation regulation in Russia has been developed. Recommendations have been developed to strengthen the innovative component of the economic development of the Russian economy.
