Innovation activity at the universities of contemporary Russia

The article is devoted to the problems of higher education modernization in contemporary Russia. In this connection the problems of formation and development of innovation complex of a university are accentuated. The periodization of innovation activity development in the largest universities of Russia is viewed and recommendations regarding this activity are given.
