Innovative development of agrarian sector of economy as factor of food security

This article discusses the need for innovative development of the agricultural sector in order to ensure food security in the conditions of expansion of anti-Russian sanctions. Food security is one of the most important factors in preserving the national security of the country, its sovereignty, as well as the most important component of demographic policy and improving the quality of life of the population. At the present stage, the key condition for ensuring the sustainability of agricultural production and food security is the innovative development of the agricultural sector. However, the analysis of the state of the main elements of innovative activity in Russia indicates an unfavorable situation in this area. In this regard, the mechanisms of development of innovative activities in the agricultural sector of the economy, allowing to ensure food security of our country.
