The presented article examines the features of the innovative development of the world economy. It is shown that the growth of demand for innovations and qualitative changes with the observed strengthening and complication of competition, increases the role of human capital in the modern economy. The leading role of a private corporation in the development of innovative processes is substantiated, and the need for innovative development of the domestic economy is determined, using world experience in this area.
