The article notes the leading role of the agro-industrial complex in ensuring the country's food security. Concrete figures are given in support of this position. Attention is drawn to the ways of achieving the goals; a brief analysis of their characteristics is given. Unfavorable consequences are noted in case of failure to provide the daily needs of a person with food for the survival of the society (hunger, social illbeing and explosions, resettlement of war, refugees, etc.). We are talking about internal and external challenges. In terms of production inconsistencies, attention was drawn to the incomplete compliance of working conditions and safety with state regulatory and legal requirements, resulting in injuries with invalid and fatal outcomes. The article is provided with information on this problem both in the world and our country. It was noted that both Russia and other foreign countries have shown a slight increase in the deterioration of working conditions, their severity and tension in 2022, as well as increase in mortality compared to the previous year (there have been given some comparative figures). However, innovative solutions on modern methods and safety equipment in the industry in relation to agricultural technologies and means of their electromechanization proposed by labour science and practice have not been used yet. This fact hinders the ability to achieve a dynamic reduction and elimination of industrial injuries and diseases in the industry in the next 4 or 5 years. There have been suggested innovative solutions that contribute to the achievement of desired goals.
