The article deals with the technology that can be applied successfully in the classroom as a method of representation of the competency-based approach in the study of a foreign language. This is due to the fact that one of the objectives of training is to develop students' communicative competencies. In this regard, the use of innovative technologies allows organizing independent work to achieve the planned learning outcomes and thus contributes to the formation of students' professional foreign-language competencies in a foreign-language communication environment, and also provides a high efficiency of development of specific language skills.
