The article studies the role and effectiveness of e-learning in university education, which is gaining ground today. The authors made an attempt to comprehend the advantages of Internet technologies within the framework of the modern system of higher education, analyzed the positive impact of innovative approaches in university education on the higher education system as a whole, and systematized the potential difficulties and positive aspects of introducing online learning into the educational process. The article proposes an alternative to the traditional training program in the form of e-learning system (E-learning). It also describes the action plan necessary for the effective integration of Internet technologies in university education. The object of the study is online learning as a new pedagogical technology. The subject of the study is the integration of Internet technologies in university education. The research methodology is represented by general scientific methods, such as analysis and synthesis of information from open sources, analytical generalization of theoretical data, as well as comparative analysis. The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that university education undergoes changes in the course of its development, responding to the needs of the era and society in which it exists. The novelty of this study lies in the analysis of various aspects of online learning in the digitalization of higher education. The practical significance lies in the possibility of using this study for the most complete and widespread study of this topic.
