The institutionalization of Christian diaconia

The work is devoted to the institutionalization of Christian diaconia. In the article the author estimates the basic scientific approaches to the investigation of the social nature of Christianity and its institutions, theoretical foundation of the phenomenon of Christian diaconia, and the sources, kinds and forms of this ministry in the context of Russian and world historical heritage. Among the most important research tasks, the author points out the formation of an integrated notion of global and national problems of social ministry in Christianity, that can be treated as one of the prospective trends in the theory and practice of social work.
