Institutional factors of mass and professional sports development in megacities

The study is devoted to the institutional factors of the development of mass and professional sports in a megalopolis. Formal (legislation, government programs, financing, organizational structures) and informal (cultural traditions, public opinion, social responsibility) factors are identified. The practical application of the results contributes to sound management decisions, increasing public engagement in sports and maintaining the competitiveness of athletes in the international arena.
