In article on the basis of results of sociological research identifies and analyzes social problems in the activities of the justices of the peace are developed, proposed and substantiated ways of their prevention; presents the results of various questionnaire surveys conducted among the students of various universities and employees of various enterprises medium enterprises of the Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and other regions, from the point of view of identifying the relationship to the institution of justices of the peace, the significance of this judicial organization, disclosure of the importance of justices of the peace resolution in the early stages are less hazardous and other interpersonal contradictions (prevention of destructive conflicts and the more dangerous crimes). Observation of social practices show that the institution of justices of the peace fully meets the realities of modern Russian reality and purposes of its creation, which are providing the speed and accessibility of justice, bringing it closer to the population, which implies the creation of real opportunities for the unimpeded circulation of every citizen to the court for protection of violated rights and legitimate interests. In addition, the article reveals the specificity of the concept of "social control" is defined by its goal, namely, to ensure the realization and protection of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen as the sole source of power in the Russian Federation.
